Is Slimtrack really totally free?

Yes, anyone can use all the Slimtrack weight-loss tools for free. A once-off registration is required, also at no charge.

What does Slimtrack offer you?

Slimtrack offers you a complete set of free online weight-loss tools based on sound nutritional principles. These include:

• A personalised daily kilojoule (or calorie) allowance, based on your height, current weight, gender, activity level and weight loss ambition.

• A food diary, which enables you to easily add items from a database of more than 8000 entries including both generic and branded South African food items. Your daily kilojoule intake is automatically updated as you add new items, so that you can immediately see what effect each item has on your daily allowance.

• An exercise diary, which enables you to easily add items from Slimtrack's extensive list of possible physical activities. As you add any new activities, the effect on your daily allowance is automatically updated.

• An online weigh-in facility, which allows you to track your progress accurately and effortlessly.

• Automatically generated nutritional reports based on your food diary.

How can it all be free?

We believe in the power of the internet to bring people together, to help one other and share ideas. Charging a fee would mean a much smaller audience and thus a much less powerful idea. Therefore, Slimtrack is based on an advertising-only business model. We hope to derive sufficient advertising income by delivering a valuable service to a large and clearly defined audience for free.
